See the recipes below to get inspired on all the different things you can do with the good old banana.

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Had to include these scrumptious little muffins. Who doesn’t like putting chocolate and banana together? Yum.. Yum…

“Fried” Honey Banana

Fried honey bananas

Here’s a “fried” recipe that actually packs a healthy punch. Instead of frying them in oil, use coconut oil spray which is lighter. Try it out and have a healthy snack. You don’t have to feel bad topping your favorite ice cream with them either 😉

Overnight Banana Caramel French Toast

Okay, this is easy, it’s made overnight and it’s stuffed with banana and caramel. Does it get any better? Maybe add a mimosa and some girlfriends and you’ve got yourself a perfect breakfast or brunch!

Quinoa Banana Chocolate Chip Breakfast Bake

Quinoa is all the craze these days and I can totally see why. It’s easy, tasty and completely versatile. Here it is paired with bananas and chocolate. A must try recipe!

Banana Chocolate-Chip Baked Doughnuts

Doughnuts, chocolate chips and healthy together in one sentence seems more like an oxymoron. This recipe is a much healthier version of the classic doughnut. Not only is it baked, not fried, but uses fat free yogurt and spelt flour (can use all purpose flower if you can’t find spelt). So try this out one lazy Sunday afternoon and don’t feel bad about having two!

Green Machine Smoothies

Green Machine Smoothie

If there is one thing bananas seem to always appear in, it is smoothies, which are not only delicious, but good for you. Here is a lovely smoothie that combines, bananas, mangoes, spinach (for the green color and nutrients) plus non-fat Greek yogurt. It’s the perfect way to start your day, have a snack on the go, or sit pool-side. Makes enough for about a smoothie and a half so take the leftovers with you to the office or on the go.

Frozen Chocolate Banana Bites

Frozen Chocolate Banana Bites

One of the reasons I chose this recipe is because it comes from a blog called “High Heels and Grills”. I love my heels and love grilling. This recipe doesn’t require either one but it is so easy you can grill in your heels after popping them in the freezer. Just melt some chocolate in the microwave, dip and freeze.

Julia’s Banana Bread

Jullia's Banana Bread

I searched and searched to make sure I included what I would consider the best banana bread recipe I could find. This one stated you would drive 20 miles to get it and she included how she was dreaming of getting this bread in Hawaii. Gets my vote for sure. Try it out and let me know if you think it’s the best recipe you ever made! It did get rave reviews.

Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread

I love this recipe because it is a more flavorful variation of plain old banana bread. Add some cinnamon and icing! Love it… Classic banana flavor with some added spice and sweetness.

Oatmeal Cookie Smoothie

Oatmeal Cookie Smoothie

Here is another smoothie that will satisfy your sweet tooth and it’s healthy, fat free and vegan! Slip it to your kids for dessert and they’ll never know how good it is for them. It will probably become one of their favorites over ice cream and cake! Well, maybe?? Try it out and let me know how it goes.

Banana Nut Brownies

Brownie recipe alert! Not only is this easy, but the brown butter frosting will knock your socks off. I’ve tried this and absolutely love it and so did my friends.

Hummingbird Cake Recipe

The picture is what really grabbed me, and then I read it is an old Southern cake recipe the author’s Grandmother made for every special occasion. It includes banana, pineapple, roasted pecans and a decadent cream cheese frosting. Need I say more? I think I’m going to make this for Easter.

Chocolate and Marshmallow Stuffed BBQ Bananas

I’m ready to bust out the grill even though New England is supposed to get more snow. Once we finally warm up I can’t wait to stuff a tasty and healthy banana with chocolate chips and marshmallows and pop it on the grill to watch it melt into delicious yummy-ness! Maybe I’ll stand in the cold, fire up my grill and try this out in the snow.

Banana Curry Chicken Foil Packets with with Cashew Raisin Quinoa

Curry Chicken Foil Packets

Because I love finding variations of any ingredient, I had to find a savory recipe using the banana. This was no easy task believe it or not! I finally found this one and it sounds so delicious. I must say it looks like one of the tastiest recipes I have put on this blog. Get your savory banana on and try it out. Don’t forget to comment and let us know how it turned out.

Banana-Kiwi Salad

Banana Kiwi Salad

A fruit salad like no other. The mix of tropical fruits will melt in your mouth and bring you that warm fuzzy vacation feel. I can’t wait to try this out and serve pool-side or at the next barbeque I’m invited to.

Now that I’ve shown you a variety of amazing things you can do with the banana, get cooking, baking and grilling plus save 20%.
